Every week, we begin our offering time affirming: Unity of Monterey Bay is the collective consciousness and commitment of all of us, who give of our time, treasure, and talent – in order to sustain this spiritual commUnity that is dedicated to transforming lives. 

In other words, we are committed to creating a space where all are invited, encouraged, and supported in growing spiritually…and ultimately being spiritually transformed, changed at depth… such that we increasingly recognize and realize our true spiritual nature.

Over the next two weeks, we will explore the true meaning of spiritual transformation and how we can more fully and mindfully engage in evolving faithfully. Until then, I leave you with this, from Love and Other Blessings, by Glynn Cardy:

Blessed are we with eyes to see, 

in our simple offering, the hope

that can meet our neighbor’s needs,

and the need of our own hearts.

there is no divide betwixt divinity and me,

for swirls of grace hold, give, receive,
